"The Only Corporations I Trust Are The Ones I Own" - The REI Rockstar
About Me | The REI RockstarWelcome,
My name is Randy and I'm a Real Estate Entrepreneur. Flipping houses can, does and should be done with no cash, credit or experience. I started in early 2006 after being sick and tired of being sick and tired. I didn't want to spend the next 30-50 years slaving away for governments and corporations all while only keeping a little piece of the pie. I was so ready, very ready to say "Take your 401k, pension, so-called benefits, company gym, company promotions and stick them where the sun don't shine!" LOL. Although rocking out on my guitar and making it "big" as a Rock Star never panned out for me, this was partly by choice. You see, I decided to put down the guitar for several years and focus on making money as a real estate investor. Boy, am I glad I did. Now I'm full time investor who has taken a number of paths to make it big in real estate. I knew I would have to maximize my free time to focus on educating myself. So early one morning at my customer service job in Scottsdale, AZ, I told my boss I will be leaving the company soon. Luckily we had become good friends during the time I worked there and he fully supported me pursuing a chance to be an entrepreneur. I began by writing down a five year plan and immediately changed jobs just so I could work on my new venture during the day. I joined many online real estate forums and I read everything I could online to absorb as much knowledge as I could about house flipping. I still have over 900 videos, ebooks and documents from these years. Just like you I eventually ordered a few books from an infomercial. By summer of 2006 I actually found a J.O.B. that paid me more money, working nights and part time! I wasted no time during the day to study everything and anything real estate online. I would read blogs, articles and forums on how to really buy and sell real estate with no-money-down. I joined a couple of blogs and looked for support in online communities. As some time passed I couldn't help but be honest with myself. I was not "doing deals". In fact almost a year and a half had passed and although I chose a company name, had business cards, advertised my website all over the free forums. No deal for Randy. I basically spun tires for two years as realtors and other real estate professionals agreed to help me close deals however nothing ever panned out. I took in all my failures as stepping stones to building something big. Shortly there after I partnered with a more tenured owner finance and short sale investor. After contracting two short sale deals and allow time for negotiations, I closed a deal in Maricopa, AZ, grossing my partner and I over 30,000 bucks! Here is the story: My First Deal Story From there on, I was on a mission to build a real estate empire. I could easily see that I could not run this all by my lonesome. I hired a marketing assistant to update websites, order prints and advertise online, a virtual assistant to take calls from sellers and even a sales person to go out and get deals under contract. I know run a full time investment firm. We close about 3-7 deals every month earning as little as $4,000 to $15,000 per deal and grossing as much as $30,000 on a big month. I've made a ton of money and even more mistakes along the way. Now its time to pay-it-forward. I'll share my insights, tips, trick, rants and raves with you as much as I can. I hope you find this blog inspirational and immediately start taking action so you to can leave the corporate world behind and be... A REAL ESTATE ROCKSTAR! Thanks for your support, and enjoy the show! |

quotes
"I'm a regular guy who understands that everything you want starts with a concept and a vision, moves to belief, and is achieved through massive action and perseverance.
"I chose to take my vision of waking up when I want, of not answering to a boss and sticking it to the man after being sick and tired of being well sick and tired. I went for it."
"If there was one thing I want you to take away from this blog its that there is no difference between you and me other than that I'm not afraid to "try, try again".
